Elusive Passion

While in the place where dreams begin
I sit to weave a masterpiece
Closing my eyes I look within
willing to act upon caprice

I use colors to work the spell,
gold of magic with blues and green
Still the one missing will compel
while giving a feeling, serene

The color’s bright beyond compare
filled with life both brilliant and bold
A hue that makes our heart declare
feelings unleashed that we behold

You’ll find it in a sunset sky,
the center of a dancing flame
It’s affect is hard to deny
with a wildness we cannot tame

It’s the one that shows deep desires,
shining in our eyes to be read
This color of bright inner fires,

elusive passion, woven red

How sad when one must choose to give without receiving. You write with God's beauty and sensitivity. Thank you for sharing. ((Karen)).

Karen...you write the most beautiful words
of love...I know that one day you will find
the love that is right for you... I know that
you will not jump into love...And I know
that the man that finds you will be one that
can and will give you all of those things you so
dearly deserve.  Love, respect, kindness and 100
percent devotion to only you..no others..

Elusive passion, woven red. Wow. I like that.
Karen, WHY is it so elusive?

This is so unbelievably beautiful, Karen...
Barry is right...someday, I know that you will find the perfect partner.
I loved these words

You’ll find it in a sunset sky,
the center of a dancing flame
It’s affect is hard to deny
with a wildness we cannot tame

and then you will be able to share your beautiful love poems with him.

Karen, reading is almost, almost as fulfilling as writing and this is SO passionate, you DO have a way of weaving inspiration into a poor little ole poet with a sick muse ~~~me!  Ha ha, but not to worry, it will return and all will be as it should be.
I love this one.

How true Karen..red is definitely the colour of passion. I like the way you made the colour stand out in your poem. It positively jumps off the page doesn’t it? Just like passion does.
