Upper middle metamorphous,
dangling mortal pride
in landscaped rural purgatory -
duped escape from
the roach and worm.

Remote retreat,
aluminum-sided suburb -
desperatehellos across
gated bridges over
rodent-crested seas.

Aloof, comfortable,
button-down exile,
waving back remorse
at melodrama’s homeless -
daring never pay surrealistic tolls.

Dynamically lazy, dull of mind,
yet still inherently proud
in Kierkegaard concrete cashmere –
dirty, guarded martinis
at charity’s open-guilt bar.

This poem brings to mind the homeless in a city that is filled with all the glitter of life without direction...You spin words in a very different manner that captures the mind and asks it to see more than words but a vision of the sadness of this life you show here. Stunning. I really liked reading this poem. It opened my eyes to sadness and loss..**big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Sooooooo sad but well-written, sweet friend, my heart goes out to all these people who cope with homeless lifestyles and I pray with all my heart that we can reach out to them all and offer them love and guidance to care for them all! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, these words speak with tears from your compassionate heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart sweet Craig, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
