The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-02-02 07:58 PM

Once I had love to burn with flames
and passions heat surrounded me
enfolding heart and soul with peace
such total joy, twas meant to be.

I try so hard to readjust
to life without loves searing touch
It does not work, my heart still craves
How is it that I ask too much?

I thought that love was all it took
I had so much of it to give
but somehow most of it was lost
like grains of sand in shallow sieve.

If it would help, I would still ask
or even beg for one more try
but it will not, so I am mute
while silently, my eyes still cry.

Sandra, you are a wonderful person with a lot to give, don't ever sell yourself short.
I read the sadness in this poem and I know a little about leftover tears, let's just say this really moved me.

catalinamoon,

Tears are God's purest ointment for cleansing our souls Tears let us more clearly see and feel His truest beauty as He prepares us for new love above and beyond all human understanding.

Let your tears wash away all of the ugliness of yesterday. God will then give you His deepest love and truest happiness. He meets our every desire in His own magnificent way, when we just release all of our sorrow to him and have faith. Your love is on the way.

I have to agree with Karilea, the minute you stop looking they seem to creep out of the woodwork, but watch out for the slivers   A very heartfelt write Sandra.

Enjoyed your thoughts...when someone I care for pulls away from me for whatever reason it changes my feelings for them...it's like I want them back but I can't trust them any more...James

"... so I am mute"

That line just grabbed me, love it!

Hang in there sweet lady and I pray that this all passes soon and you can love, again.

It is not in your hands ... yet.
Patiently pay your dues and it will come

A beautifully heartfelt write.
