It is of no significance.

We live single serving lives, from day...
... to day.
Overly sensitive, soft to the future, a slave to hot tea and vibrating chairs.
This single serving, artificial flavored life of ours.
The burnout. Sundried skies, forest glades and natural canopies turned corporate meeting room and cubicile mirage.
The sadness. Many people have worn more animals than they have seen outside of a zoo or taxedermist office.
The confined spirit. A million deaf ears, ignorant of the birds serenade, the whispers of brooks, the wind's silken song caressing leaves. This replaced with the air conditioner rustling through artificial greenery.
Live this single serving, pre-packaged life of ours. Sing the songs our ancestors lived, but dare not live them. Enjoy climate control and saftey labels, and your set 2000 daily calories.

Tell you what I think? I think you're going to like it around here.  Look around...room for prose, angst, love, hate, fear, joy...

and more!  Welcome to Passions!  Please check your E-mail for a Special Greeting!

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

too sad, too true, too many people in too many places are just existing there .... priorities totally askew, living day to day without joy, without passion.....

...*sigh*.... but you said it much better than i did

great piece!

I did not shed tears. I smiled, at the sensitive POV of this. It is true, some actually prefer artificial over the real. Sadly, there are many people who will never take time to walk into the woods, or to smell the fragrant wildflowers bursting with vitality in the desert in the spring. And as for the animals, their skins and furs were given to them, not to us, for a reason.  Welcome to Passions.
