I am not the battlefield,
you are not aloud to
wage your wars of
guilt
ignorance and
shame upon me,
I am not the barbed
wire fence forcing you to
crawl on your belly
to excape beinf cut.

Don't look at me like
I am painted for combat,
my face is not
green
black and
brown,
I am not the one who
told you all is fair in love
and war.

Nobody forced you to
draw lines in the dirt,
those limits
I continue to step over.
Don't talk to me like
I need lessons in
right
wrong and
your way or the highway.
I was bi-cultural long before you
came along and when
you go it won't be
my world
that falls apart.

"Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone
I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."

Hey lady...glad I stayed on line to catch this..reminds me a bit of something I say to MY boyfriend.."I'm not your warden and I am not your mother." Set 'em straight, lady! loved the war imagery too.

Enjoyed.

Oh yes..I do love what you have done with this, Bee! Its sooo nice to see a post from you. I was beginning to have withdrawals you know. YOu always have a way of making the reader know you're saying EXACTLY what is on your mind. I like that.

For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me.
