When a man gave birth

God said to Adam, Adam sleep! Sleep deep!
Then God dug into Adam's rib cage as he was sleeping
Split Adam's seed! Did He possibly take the very best part?
To make a beautiful woman with a sweet loving heart?

Did he make her nice and sweet like an ice cream treat?
How neat!
When Adam gave of his body a beautiful child to be his helpmate
A woman to teach him to mate?

Did God leave Adam just half of a being to till the fertile land?
With a passionate woman crying to be complete?
An innocent victim beguiled by Satan with fruit to eat?
Come sweet damsel, Satan said, God lied to you
When He told you not to eat of this His finest fruit.

Why my fruit is so sweet when you lie here with me
Go share it with Adam, your father, your mate; don't hesitate
Then wasn't God's purity polluted, starting evil on earth?
After the only time when a man gave birth.

I do like the way you dissect the Story...interesting ponderings, indeed!

Hi Sunshine.

To me it is very interesting how man has carefully guarded and nourished the Creation story with a bias towards God being a man, which is ridiculous.

God is a spirit and spirits have no male or female flesh, per se. Cannot be male or female. But on earth, man from the beginning has insisted that women be in bondage to men. But God answers prayer for men and women, and Christ was always very tender and loving towards women, especially prostitutes. And at Jericho, everyone was killed except a woman prostitue and her family.

God created both man and woman and all other life. Why should we say God is a He, father, etc. Could it be that man, not God conceived this order of things. And God just allowed man to freely roam and govern the earth, build civilization, intervening only when wickedness was about to destroy mankind.

I honestly believe that God's plan requires us to Love Him voluntarily. So He has all left all mankind totally free to find our way back to Him. And I also believe that he holds people in authority totally responsible for those under their rule.

Christ did teach us to submit to authority. If we submit, then I believe that each person in authority is responsible for the actions of those in bondage to them.

When a woman chooses to submit to a man's authority, I believe that the man is totally responsible for all of her actions. It would follow then that a woman in bondage to a man could not sin.

But when a woman accepts the freedom that I believe that God offers all of His Spirits, then she, like a man, is responsible for her own heart and actions.

And the same logic would follow for all spirits, those free and those in bondage.

I believe that all bondage comes from man's rule, as God, in His Love, sets us free when we accept it.

A few thoughts to ponder.
