In this southern place
further north than my adult home
the splendor of true home
chants at me through wintered trees.
The old life pulsates thorugh changed air
and it breathes on me like a ghost
waiting to return and live.
So sad, the call of youth
when it knows that death is near.
Sunlight through a glass door
picture paints a faint smile on my aging face
and my joy is brought in delectable pieces,
rationed out now as if I will one day
be the hollow warehouse
that held the beauty and pricelesness
of dancing and talking with the wind.
As the wind played hide and seek in the boughs of pines
still in their childhood as I was,
I sant, wrote, played, and ran
through the simplicity of simple joy.

For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me.

Going home always does this to one.  But remember, home is always close, even when we are far.

I always enjoy reading your work, it speaks to my very heart.  Thank you.
