Mosaic Heart

Defying all rules and logic
through the wins and losses
of this board game called life
inevitable heartbreak scrabbles
the certainty of hows and whys
of dominoes that sway too soon
to roll the dice
with snake eyes
across a jigsaw puzzle soul.

Through the monopoly of tears
in mosaics of wisdom's payday
sometimes you must fall apart
to pick up the pieces
in order to claim checkmate...
discovering the true of you,
your greatest work of "heart"

I know it sounds trite but it's not about winning or loosing....
and so on and so forth.
I especially liked~

sometimes you must fall apart
to pick up the pieces
in order to claim checkmate...
discovering the true of you,
your greatest work of "heart"

Such simple rules can be the most difficult to learn.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom in words.

Melissa - you did create a suburb poem. So true, and how many times to fall apart, pick up the pieces, and claim checkmate. Liked this one very much...

I would say that your mosaic is full of wonderful colors.

Thank you.
