Music drifts across the room
leaves me pensive as I dwell.
An old familiar song
rings deep inside a well.

With a promise I dare not cry
drowning wishes in my mind.
Pools swell inside my eyes,
trails of dreams I've left behind.

Voices echo in low bellows
as they carry down the hall
seep, oh constant sifting
through the cracks within the walls.

Blues, you sing the blues so well. I love the flow of the water imagery in this one.
Your poetry just keeps getting better and better.

Blues, it does sound pretty bad
when some people sing
in the shower doesn't it

enjoyed this

Fantasmic!  There's a lot down in that well.  I think you've penned it rather nicely.  I enjoy it!

Thank you everyone for reading.
I wrote this many moons ago and I'm still
there, sifting through my deep dark dreams.
