She touched the photograph
Of the one she had loved
Smiling through tears
Remembering came in waves
Flashing, slashing
Through her soul
Till she thought she’d bleed
Memories…..

Where the heck have you been?

Susan
This is an incredibly strong moment you've captured.  I love moments.  The brevity is so striking.
BTW...I'm fine.  Just had a bit of a moment, myself.
Lost loves make for great poetry, don't they?  Well, at least you got a story out of it!

Cowboy, I have been overwhelmingly busy….LOL….yeah, lost loves tend to stick
around the heart, never really letting go, or is it that we hold on??? (I’m glad you are ok, but the lots of hugs still stands….

I’ve had moments like these Sea…I think we all have. The memories live on…but, when we’re ready, they do fade...until we can smile without the tears.

This is a lovely tearful poem, Sue
It reminds me so much of the time right after my first husband died.
I would sleep with his picture and talk to it.
I even got a special frame from Radio Shack.
Its a talking picture frame and I recorded his answering machine message from work onto it...so, I would pretend he was answering me.
Everyone thought I was crazy.
I was just grieving.

A spark within a cell of the mind
of a love that we once could find
A joy of the feeling of an embrace
as love does so softly kiss a face.

Welcome back Sue...Have been missing
your beautiful words...
