In The Still Of the Night

When my eyes close and darkness falls
you enter my embrace
It’s when I hear your whispered calls
to join you at our place

In dreamland where’s you take my hand
and gaze into my eyes
Where we can hear the magic band
play softly from the skies

You’ll hold me close to beating heart
and dance beneath the moon
Our hidden thoughts we’ll now impart
while filled with lover’s tune

You bend your head, my lips, to taste
and start our blood to pound
Your arms will come around my waist
and lay me on the ground

On sun warmed sands with ocean breeze
our passions will ignite
Unleashed, this hunger, we’ll appease
in the still of the night

This is most beautiful!...and your use of internal rhyme and images are wonderful!  I love this...and it's going into my library

Shouldn't every dream have a scene like this?

Karen - used to sing that song, 'In The Still Of The Night', one of my favorites. Brings back many memories this writing does.
