Between orchid rain and deep purple skies
are lavender cosmos and eerie doll eyes
tangled within silken webs of the night
whispers swirling within a serpentine light
blanched driftwood in billows of reminisce
caught within the sighs of a passionate kiss
leafy voices stalk shadows in the night
footprints upon sands, within tides of midnight
stimulating passion in belfries of moonlight
penumbra fingers gently fondle the air
placing a rosebud in soft chestnut hair
fragrance of dead roses lingering there
beneath a blanket of dreams, still unaware
eerie doll eyes in a  mirror they stare

You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.

This is so unbelievably good, Victoria...its one of those poems which, when I read it I always say "I wish I could write like that"

Between orchid rain and deep purple skies
are lavender cosmos and eerie doll eyes
tangled within silken webs of the night
whispers swirling within a serpentine light
blanched driftwood in billows of reminisce

this is so beautiful!
