Why am I writing
When I’m confused
Spilling emotions
Is what I choose

Why am I writing
Words onto a page
Pen stirring hurt
Anger I can rage

Why am I writing
Displaying the fact
Heart breaking
Mind stays intact

Why am I writing
Walk in my shoes
Tread with pen
Seeking the clues

Why am I writing
Reasons are mine
In singing blues
Heart into rhyme
