“SAND IN OUR TOES”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
On the beach, walking the bay…
saw you there one sunny day…
Eyes open, just looking around,
knew you wanted to be found…
Your hand taken into mine,
fingers locking, if to align…
Hearts beating into one blossom,
lovers perhaps, to be the outcome…
Did this on the beach one day,
glad you were coming, my way…
It was going to happen I suppose,
walking, with sand in our toes…
Love this Bill....reminds me of a song from the 50's or 60's but I don't remember all the words.  I can hum a few bars...if you listen carefully you might remember it too.
Went something like....
"remember
...walkin' in the sand,
...walkin' hand in hand....
remember"
The word 'remember' was almost whispered.  Oh I'm going to be up all night now trying to remember it.  If you know....please ICQ me?
Anyway, I love this!
Hello Bill
Your title grabbed my attention and I just had to read this and I have to say I thought it was absolutely awesome.  How vivid were the images of two souls meeting on the sand as love made its way into their hearts.  So stunning were your words and so very romantic, I adored it!
Take care......Sue
