She Borrows but Returns Tenfold She says “people don’t talk to me anymore ‘cause I’m always taking their lines” Like a silvery apparition she sweeps in sweeps up sweeps away So much so, I find myself searching, probing for My line, a snippet of thought a line of pain a gesture gained And I turn the page… There they are… Four or five or six words strung together in a weave such as I cannot believe Those words having stemmed from my thoughts And now! They have been wrought with mystery and magic and music by her pen… She is remarkable and funny downright seriously gifted I don’t know the all of her Or the wheres and whys and hows of her I just know She borrows my words and returns them, tenfold.
