Stardust glistened within his saddle brown eyes
bucking across the bedroom of my mind
i was lassoed by his opalescent smile
and leather chaps tightly screaming...Whoaaaa

He grazed the meadows of my ruby lips
galloping within bluebonnet eyes
he kissed me beneath a lunar eclipse
within the dark shadows of the moon

I was bound to him like a young calf
surrendering to his advances in the night
cowboy boots beneath my longhorn bed
still there in the Amarillo sunlight

Stardust glistened within his saddle brown eyes
i served chicken fried steak, gravy and fries
buttermilk biscuits and a piece of apple pie
he drank a cup of coffee, and kissed him good bye

A real Texas poem, Victoria...from a real texas poet!
I like the sensuous feel this has, as well as the beautiful descriptive imagery.

Gosh how I love the imagery you put into your poetry! So much so, I borrowed the title and stuck it into my Plagiarism poem. Begging forgiveness!

Home home on the range (electric or gas??)
