i cant clutch tight enough this receiver in my grasp i cant hold close enough this bridge that carries your voice i cant keep near enough this shell that claims your breath... this want for you-- uncontrollable... tomorrow may change our love forever-- yet you drift there with me dont leave me dont leave me just yet i know that you must go and i must also-- sleep is calling but love isnt listening... how did love happen to us? i thought you were strong where i was weak but you gave in to love when i stepped back and my last shreds of gathered strength gave way beneath me... i cant clutch tight enough this receiver in my grasp clinging to silence pressed hard against my chest... steadying breath-- my lingering need of you body aching sleep embracing... i cant hold near enough... i cant hold near enough this... this you... -dgvarner 1-27-02 ~dgvarner/fallen rain~ |
