The Beach Of My Dreams

I walk the beach of my dreams looking for you
yet not a word, not a sound, of you I hear
My heartbeat quickens as your shadow I pursue,
across the sands of time running without fear

Waves lap against my legs as I wade the cold
and hear something unknown calling from the dark
I wonder if this dream was the one foretold
of a chance to follow love if I embark

I watch with wonder mist that begins to form
and feel tugging at my heart without reason
Within the mist is churning a violent storm
leaving me awed for this is not storm season

As I advance there is a face that I see
of a man whose eyes are shining with love’s light
At once my soul knows he is who fate decree
would come to fulfill my destiny tonight

I have walked the beach of my dreams in love’s search
and find you here to transport me to your world
Melting in your embrace I feel my heart lurch
when through earthly time and space we are hurled

With surprise I open my eyes to the day
to discover you still here, holding me tight
With gentle words you are able to convey,
“love doesn’t just exist in my dreams at night”

You mastered an excellent theme to display your thoughts in this.  Beautiful writing, some dreams really can come true if they are meant to be

Take care,
