Painted in pastels
awash in the sunrise
we rose and fell together
shining in the light
passing between the shades.

Once we stood so close
until the horizon dropped off
separating the space between us.
Like a hot flame before our eyes
clinging to the warmth, left to gaze.

Bleeding through the sunset
we ran together;
windswept across the sky.
Blending cream colors in the clouds
dancing shadows in the moonlight.

For a time, in perfect shades
you filtered in and all around
now pales in the afterglow
fading in the light of love.

Sandra~ Emotions are a continuous blend of colors and shades that shine in the light being shed on them.  Sometimes the high intensity is a bit much...   Thank you Sandra~

Walt~ That yuh of yours is a very cool trademark!  I take it as a compliment
and I thank you~

Melissa~  I'm happy to know you enjoyed this.
A thousand words can't paint the picture, nor is a picture worth a thousand words.
It's just the way it is.  Thanks so much for reading.

this is nice, blue is my favorite color, I would like to make a card out of this and send it to someone if you don't mind.

We're rocking and rolling in Southern California.  Now where was I?
You can use my words and make your card
any way you like ....that's pretty heady
stuff and it would be an honor.

thank you Johnnie

BluesSerenade~
This is 'Bluedeful'~

'dancing shadows in the moonlight'
was a challenge phrase quite some time back ...
this fits it perfectly~

Hope your 'shakey' is all over and all are safe~

BluesSerenade - like your writing, especially this; 'dancing shadows in the moonlight.' To dance in the moonlight, just wonderful. Writing one just now to this theme...

Chrissy~ Thanks for stopping in.
I appreciate your comments very much!

Marge~ Well the 'shakey' hit pretty close
to home but all is well.  We don't have the
snow to shovel we just shake rattle and roll.
Thank you for always responding so kindly.

Bill Charles~ I'm going to be honest,
I almost gave up on this, in turn I appreciate
your comments all the more.
I look forward to reading your moonlight dance!
Thank you sir~

Yes!  It's as though they disappear behind the clouds
only to shine through again.  That's a nice thought,
like a ray of sun. Thanks DS.

Duncan~ Nothing stays the same even our sadness dissipates over time.
