   Snow Bound

I wonder if snow is quiet
like cat paws on roof peaks?

I have never listened to snow.
I imagine that in the silence
of night the artist paints
the grass white
and dresses all the trees
like brides.

The morning paper,
an intruder slithering a defying
line across the yard
would rest just out of reach.

You would wear your robe and barefoot
gallantly numb your toes
to place the paper on the bed
then find the warm place still,
and I would bring you hot coffee
and toast and jam
and wiggle you warm
while outside stormed.

I wonder if snow is quiet
like cat paws on roof peaks?

(smiles) Oooohhhhhhh...I love the snow, this was my favorite line but I loved everything about it! Every morning when it snows, my dad asks me to go get the paper, and it is so delightful to see the trees dressed like wedding dresses and the icicles hang like church bells! (kiss on cheek) This is breathakingly beautiful, sweet friend, I think snow actually has its own unique melody, like all other gorgeous gifts of life! We all love you so much, sweet friend, I LOVE IT!!! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

...lines like these are what make me smile and shake my head.  You are soooo good!!
And, yes snow is a quiet as cat paws on a roof peak.

Oh Martie, you describe her beautifully, and yes she whispers, but I have to tell you that she sure must be crying.  In Vancouver today, her snowflakes have us all enraptured with her beauty and housebound.  What a lovely poem.

Some snow
~ quiet droppings of
angel's feathers ~
leave behind
a warm feeling;

there are times
a snow flake
tinkles in chiming
resound,
letting you know
"here I am,
seek me for the moment,
while I refresh
your spirit!"
and melts away
on your
nose...

refreshing your spirit
in magic;

then there is snow
that skiffs along
inviting spring
to come again;
a merry dance to
greet May...

then there is Martie's
snow,
silent cat's paws
on a white roof...
