A Need to Ride

Today the earth is bountiful
in thought, I feel inspired.
With warmth and friends, I ride the need,
a journey so desired.

My two-wheeled travel, I shall take,
the distance North to find,
searching out new memories,
to fill the empty mind.

I can recall the last few times,
alone, enjoyed the peace.
Snapshots holding, rendezvous'
pressed to my heart, release.

Another day, another view,
for life obscured in mean.
My goal, intent, to slip away
and target a new scene.

I'll narrative the setting
and circumstance the new.
The backdrop staged, a spectacle,
of panoramic view.

A need to ride, the woodlands path
to overlap, delete
the heaviness of burdened thoughts
in privacy, retreat.

There is a peace in this and I like the sound of it,
pour me a cup of something and I'll be right over
