Love is a white dove, born of your essence
Wrought in the presence of stars of the night
Blessed by the moonbeams,
Light of your daydreams
Glowing through dove wings
As feathers take flight

Dove sings a song that has never forsaken
As true love awakens the beauty in you
Listen the soft song
Bathed in a sweet balm
Wrapped in the smooth calm
Of murmuring coo

Love is the light breeze lifting a white wing
Rising and sailing, higher and free
Swirling in love’s twist
Out of the cloud’s mist
Wild and sun- kissed
In pure ecstasy

Quivering heart beat, purring with pleasure
No one can measure the song of a dove
Lulling the dark night
Into the dawn’s light
Ready to take flight
The power of love

Just as the winds lift wings of a white dove
Such is God's great gift, the beauty of love

Elizabeth, this is both a read and a song, and I know you meant it to be heard that way, or at least, I believe so.  That is how it came across...

thank you for this...

Even the title is a beautiful rhyme!  Yes, it has a lyrical feel,
the lines go together wonderully.  THIS is a song!

Elizabeth - This is truly a lovely poem. Very much enjoyed. Chris

This was simply beautiful, it is a WOW poem, and yes, it actually read like a gentle song.  I hope that dove can see my house for all the snow but with my luck it will be a seagull!

Thank you, sweet doves for singing along, and for your kind words
And mysteria, for the dove in flight

Elizabeth
it was a song, an angelic fluttering write and now the music of your words fill me
