Pain doesn't go away
if you ignore it or
take a few pain killers
to forget the discomfort.
I've gone untreated too long.

You're beaten up and
battle scarred by the
shrapnel of memories,
but not all wounds cover themselves
and heal with puckered pink skin.

My rage is green
and invades your veins
with a stench
and the deadening
of nerve endings.

Make a decision,
cut me off or
lance the infection before
I poison you
completely.

"Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone
I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."

Imagery: sharp. I could almost smell the stench of this...and that is a compliment! Final comment: Ouch!
