In Your Poetic Mind

~Remembering~

I awoke again in the dark
Sweat revealing my pours
The moonlight has once
Again shattered the lake

The horizon walks with
Echoes, as the wind
Borders the night, it
Seems so endless

And where are you?

The child left behind
To walk bridges,
Trying to catch the
Reflection of
Diamond nights

Light can dance
In droplets of rain
But my hands are empty,

Right now
So much separates us,
I am humbled to your
Missing shadow
As the winter air sings

On Thursday nights
I sang to you upon
The stage of my long
Ago life, and watched
You smile my name
In "I love you"

I still see us
As beach lovers
Ankle deep in surf and
Sunsets, I return there,
As it reminds me of home

I just need your comfort zone,
I take a piece with
Me, the light upon my path,
A day will come, when
I again touch the
Untouchable...
Face to face...
Soul to soul...

Heart of my heart

I remember~

(11 years and still counting, I remember~ and I miss those days....as I miss you)

Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows
of my heart

Lauren,

Because I know you so well, I understand this poem and can appreciate what you're sharing.  As always, your work is very sensual and your imagery both original and superb.  *hugs* and peace, my friend.

Lauren...Every poem of yours...such beauty.
Even the sadness is soothing in ways...I
feel the softness of a breeze over my face
as I count the stars in your words...Very
touching and wonderfully expressed..

Again your words whisper to me Lauren.  I am so glad I made myself find a minute this morning I have been away so long.  Dear friend, if you need me, you know how to find me.  Hugs to you...
