A small Italian restaurant
Will be the setting for the night
A bottle of Lambrusco
Should start the night off right

Bruschetta and fettucine
Will be the choice I'll make for two
There's no need to worry about dessert
For that's strictly between me and you

A red and white checked tablecloth
With a smouldering candlelight
Makes the mood for our evening
Such a romantic's delight

The accordian player serenades us
He sees that we are in love
We were meant to be together
For we fit like hand in glove

Holding hands across the table
In the candlelight we stare
Totally absorbed in one another
Feeling like we're the only ones there

*sigh* oh yes...oh yes..that is the kind of romantic night I want and then a walk along the beach just talking and sharing who we are.....then under starlight there is no telling what will happen between two lovers. Wonderful...BRAVO!!!You set me to dreaming...Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a date like this for Valentines day...*sigh* such a dream...**big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Suetang,
so beautifully romantic. I could see the candlelight and smell the pasta.

Karen
I'm so glad you liked this one and I know we are both hopeless romantics!

This is great sue, I was going to ask what time you wanted me there and then realized this was a romantic poem. LOL just kidding. I am Italian, and all those things you mention, you would have to be italian to know those foods and wine. Are you? great write. floria

Sounds like the perfect setting for love. Ah, I can just picture it now…somehow, italian restaurants really do set the mood for romance. I know a few fantastic ones.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

You are going to laugh but this made me think of Walt Disney's Lady and the Tramp, that scene when they were eating the spaghetti!  Okay so I need a holiday, lol.  Sue this was fantastic, you are getting so darn good.
