I thank you, dear poet friends for all your love
and support through a very difficult time.
Though my mind has been occupied with the
trials of life, still I try to write at least one
poem every day, and you have always been
there with kind words, and I have been
unable to respond very often. And so I apologize
for my silence, but I wrote this poem so you
would know how much I have appreciated
your presence in my life

Uplifted

I am a leaf spun into heights
By friendship’s breeze of love
Looking down upon the forest
Where my faith had come undone
Sometimes the strong foundation
Of your life can slightly shift
And you were there, a gentle breeze
My spirit to uplift

I am a tiny grain of sand
Blown up onto a dune
Atop the mound of white I stand
The visions to consume
You friendship was the guiding hand
Through courser sands to sift
And you were there, with poet words
My outlook to uplift

I am a sea bird tired and worn
Too weak to fly to shore
Knowing I would never see
The joy I knew before
And so I flew in circles
For my thoughts had gone adrift
And you were there, an ocean breeze
My feathers to uplift

I am a poet with no words
For life has numbed my voice
And though you all have been so kind
My heart could not rejoice
And yet you’ve given me the best
Of any worldly gift
For you were there, a friend in need
My spirit to uplift

Dear Sweet Elizabeth,
you need not apologize but I understand the way you feel, sometimes life and all its complexities and obligations take us away from poetry and Passions. And we are all learning to adjust to these pages that now move so quickly and the realization that we simply can not reply to all our fellow poets each day as we once were able to. Sometimes I make myself half nuts trying to hit all the poems in here that touch me. And sometimes we just are too emotionally tired to always reply. Your writing is part of your therapy and that's all that matters, thats what's important.
We are the lucky ones who get to read the beauty of your words. You're doing the best you can, no one can ask nor expect more.
take care of you dear Poetess of Grace.
Heart-hugs sweet Lizzie

I know very well the complexities of life, as sometimes they are of our own making, and other times the life forces around us create such a tornadic action, we are simply sucked in.  You will be fine, Elizabeth, as long as you take the time each day for yourself by penning a beauty.  You have never abused the privilege of Passions, we all know this.  You go do what needs be done...we will be here for you as we gently lift your heart.

Hugs, K

Dear Lady, You don't have to reply just write, your strength has done more for me than you can even imagine.  You touch people daily and I know how it is not to be able to feel like typing, moving, believe me, I have the beginnings of arthritus in my hands and fingers, oh, it's not terribly bad now, but well, there's numbness there and pain, lots of pain, but poetry is almost like a prayer, yours is anyway, like a daily prayer and not only that, but the archieves are like a treasure chest full of inspiration and excellence of spirit.  You don't the days when I thought God, I just can't do it anymore, can't go about the daily tasks, and then there you are.. with not only another quality write but more important than the poetics, it is something a person can take to the very spot that needs a healing touch.  It is an honor to read the words from someone who doesn't sit around feeling sorry for themselves, but gives unselfishly. God bless you!!

Dear Elizabeth, friends are like precious gold. And I will always be here for you. Your writing has inspired this new writer in such a way that I cannot even put it into words. When I read your poems, it is like magic.Thank God for the gift of writing. I am sure it has helped you so very much. And if you should come on here to read our poems, I know you are reading them, don't ever worry about responding because that is not what it is all about. It is about sharing, comforting, being a friend, and when one responds it is nice, but I know you are there. I feel your love of poetry, and I feel you could never stop reading. The replying is not important. Take care my poetess friend, God be with you and heal you.
Love, floria
