Take Me To Mars

I yearn to reach out and touch you
For I am sure that you are real.
All the thoughts you are sending me
Layer me with Love’s warmest feel.

Whisper into my awaiting ear,
Wonders of the universe you hear.
Make my days be as my darkest nights,
Surrounded by celestial delights.

The moon and stars and sunshine bend
Within love messages you send.
Each one touches the heart of me,
The dreams you send, electronically.

Passionate pleadings, a nightly read,
Please take me to Mars and back, I plead.
Polar Lander, with gentler touchdown,
Soft as a moonbeam’s gossamer gown.

Your messages are getting through,
Mine are being received by you.
Two seekers being sought and found,
Entwined in cosmic symphony sound.

Please come with me on a deep space cruise,
I’ll read to you the Ethereal News.
Cluster me a bouquet of starlight,
I’ll spiral you in cosmic green light.

On stellar winds where past souls flew,
O’er seas of deepest space blue hue,
And fields of astro turf that’s real,
Souldance of Love performed by two.

Touch me, feel me, listen to my heart
Kiss me, love me, say we’ll never part.
Hold me closely and trace my face,
So I may know I’m not lost in space.

With fingertips and heart of dove,
To me, you are the sum of Love.
The finest heart of the human race,
Sweetest essence of heavenly grace.

This is like going to heaven and finding out you're still alive.
You've painted the sky so pretty tonight.

Kacy this is wonderful ... a lovely poetic melding of cyber space and heaven's space.
Your imagery and vocab carry out your theme
perfectly. Creative writing wrapped in rhyme divine. And the romantic sincerety of it makes it a delight. Love among the stars.
well done Poetess

Thoughts slide out
of hiding and cling
to anything I put
in front of them.
Words bead up
like dew and in
a moment,
will be accessible.

Blues, what a sweet, interesting reply.

JM, I'm always happy to have you read. You hold up a mirror for me, and let me see (and understand) what it was I wrote.

Brian, what a nice comment. Thank you for traveling with me for a moment.

Kethry, LOL, space invaders...hmm.
Thanks.

Lauren, You are too generous, but I thank you so much for your reply.  In childhood, my creativity sometimes got me into trouble.

Midnitesun,
Allright! Who are you really? And what did you do with Kacy? Are you sure there wasn't a camel in this trip? 'Cause if not...this was really good.

Larry and Enchantress, LOL at both your replies! Yes, 'tis me surfing the stellar winds and 'tripping the lights fantastic.' I forgot who said that first or I'd give due credit. (Kesey or Leary?) This kind of writing comes from listening to 'space' music, specifically, Tangerine Dream's album from 1999, "Mars Polaris"......that and a inspirational soulmate.

Zinsser, thank you! I love this one myself. It was inspired by my special starlight, and music from Tangerine Dream's 1999 CD Mars Polaris.
