Mom

I see your face in my mind,
sometimes blurry but always kind.

I remember your smile - I hear your voice so clear.
You are calling my name - you want me near.

We loved sitting, chatting, and
exchanging stories of old.
I can picture your expressions as
your eyes danced and rolled.

The grandchildren were playing - all talking at once.
You loved every moment - their hugs, kisses
and each silly comment.

The Lord called you to him many years ago.
My heart was torn in two,
deep down inside I knew it was the best thing for you.

Now you have no more pain and sadness,
you are at peace and we will all be together
again someday with joy and happiness.

There has to be a special place in Heaven for Moms,
one with big kitchens, coffee pots, beautiful gardens
and happy clowns.

You were so gentle as you grew old.
The wonderful memories of you will
always be embedded in my heart
and lined in gold

Noah:

Thank you for stopping by.  My Mom passed away over 20 years ago, but I know in my heart that her memories will live on.  Thank you for your kind words (and kiss of course).

RosePetal:

I am glad that you stopped by.  (I see that you are from FL too!).  She is always on my mind but there are days when I feel that she is sitting next to me.  Thanks for your sweet words and hugs.
