Under Re-construction

my sins
are unforgivable
yes, I am black
as night
and one thing
that could have saved me
was a spark
from loves pure light
but love
it was too busy
with a life
of its own
so it never heard
my hurts and needs
no, they were
never known
my heart
just stopped beating
I died
a thousand deaths
and every time
one life was over
somehow again
I caught my breath
and once again
I was on the journey
following in footprints
left for me
but the path I had followed
wasn’t right
in blindness
you can not see
with my last death
I had a funeral
and buried all my sins
when that last bit
of ground was moved
just as always
a new life again begins
now it is time
to build again
and I am
under re-construction
this time my sins
I have invited over
mistakes and I
are about to meet
by introduction

(smiles) YAY!!! Oh Helen, I'm so happy to hear you say these words of hope and love for yourself, you are under reconstruction and I just know you will find the greatest happiness always! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

*sigh* we are a sum total of victorys and failures but would we be who we are without having made some mistakes along the way...Growth and learning sometimes means making mistakes...I for one can say that, through your poetry, you are an amazing woman with so much love to give and that is the real you...**big hugs** I think we spend our whole lives under reconstruction..but then to stop growing and learning would be pretty boring indeed.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Helen, as you know I see a lot of me in you, this is exceptional.  Just hit me, like reonstruction should cause after all, gotta start with a bulldozer right !

Helen this was so heartfelt. We are all always under reconstruction. No one is perfect. You must live for yourself. floria

1slick lady,
Wow, this is an excellent poem. If I might...Grace has proved them forgivable.

It is very touching when a poet bares their
soul...You have done this elegantly within
your words...I think we all go through these
moments...and hopefully they are just that..
Just Moments...
