Meadow Meeting

Perfume of flowers fills the air
intoxicating the senses
Into eyes of passion they stare
without more pretenses

Brought here by the message she sent
to meet in the moonlight
She has prayed for him to consent
that his kiss might delight

His touch ignites the flames inside
causing a blush of heat
Yearning hearts begin to collide
their hunger to replete

They lay on a bed of soft grass
under a star filled quilt
Partaking what none can surpass
while feeding fires they built

They’re lost to reality’s world
hearing two hearts beating
Into live fantasy they’re hurled
from this meadow meeting

This poem is soooo superbly delicious and a fantasy I'd like to have fulfilled...

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Ah, the continuation to the one I read last night, or was it this morning. I wondered if it would continue…but of course…it had to. There’s nothing like the beauty of two hearts coming together, and you always write it so well.
