Asking again for eternal life?
avoid mortality,give up strife?
there is no single potion to advise,
no single means to counter the lies.

There are foods in use for many years
medicinal aspects known by our peers,
take the simple green lettuce leaf
its good was known to the serf on a fief.

grind the carrot and other orange veggies we despised,
drink its juice, it is good for more than your eyes,
not in excess, for researchers have claimed
too much of one good can be lay to blame.

the ginsing root from west of the South China sea
can be grinded for use and kept in bags of tea,
the Siberian quality is known for its energy
mixed with ginkgo it can be fed to your progeny.

Personally, I look for vitamin E sources
and Vitamin C, taught in Pauling's courses,
the first is an antioxidant that prevents the aging of cells,
the second is a vitamin discovered to offset cold spells.

Food For Thought

As dinner I fix, I hunger for words
tapping into the blue, I see
sources essential for normal growth,
fields of green, for eternity.

He words my needs, advice for years
to add, in length, the time to give,
elixirs of the veggie kind,
claiming energy to live.

These aging cells, one can't prevent
laying blame on living good.
Someday someone shall fountain find,
the youthfulness of singlehood.

I take my twenty pills a day,
Antiquity to slow, delay.

Maureen

thank you Martin..but I thought
maybe there was something more
I could do then I already am. *s

It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."

Wonderful thoughts! Might want to chelate the cells with some CoEnzyme Q-10, the super antioxidant. With clean fresh cells the anitioxidants C and E and other vitamins and minerals absorb much more efficiently. In a few weeks your insides may feel like your outside skin in a clean shower. At least that's how it affected me.

Martin, or should I say Doctor Martin, this was a very entertaining and amusing write.  And thanks for the prescription, but I am going to stick to my fast food and beer drinking diet.  This way I will definitely live until I am thirty five.lol

You could just eat vegetarian, and leeave the tater chips and greaseburgers off the plate. LOL. I eat veggie, but sometimes those salty chips and packaged cookies laced with SUGAR cover my plate.  I know....it's a disgusting confession.
What an unusual poem! Yes, eat fresh organically grown fruits and veggies, and whole grain breads and pastas. But indulge yourself occasionally with whatever food makes you feel good emotionally.

(smiles) Mmmmmmmmmm...excellent choice sir! (big hugggssssss) I love to eat veggies, though of course I agree we should always eat what makes us happy, while we also eat for good health so we should limit the junk foods to a certain intake! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is very fascinating! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Looking for something outside the common
physical activity I forgot to mention
exercise to ease our daily tensions
you are disappointed,I cannot give eternal youth.
I have though spelled out wholesome recipes
that you can add to your physical routine.
There is an additional golden key
life under low oxyegen tension;
some peoples living at high altitude
live through their old gracefully
in Chile, Azerbaiyjan(spelling)and another place I can't remember,
the mixture of mountain air, healthy local diet and physical activity
leads to many years of productive proclivity.
