Shine your sun! Note: This poem was written for a friend. "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." NIV Psalms 84:11 It was only a year ago, today When God's hand reached down and took you away On that terrible night, my brightest light Faded into the darkness out of sight Your little room became a lonely tomb As my heart and soul overflowed with gloom For without you, darling, I am so blue My darling, my sweetheart I so miss you. I know that somewhere tonight you are fine Around God's golden throne you sing and dine LORD, why am I so late to heaven's gate O why, my God do You now hesitate? When you make us perfect for each other? My darling sweet wife; my children's mother Why let one-half of a spirit smother? I've nothing more to give; don't let me live. You took our soul's very best part, aboard Now have mercy on me; give me rest, LORD Bring us back together in one accord Hurry! Make us one! Again! Shine Your Sun. Shine Your Sun!
