Sometimes we derive pleasure-
From all our inner pain.
That's all right for the moment,
Then you have to live again.

I used to work wild cattle-
Fight wilder, rougher men...
I've made a lot of enemies,
And rarely found a friend...

The way we always put it, was-
"You've gotta cowboyup.
If a man keeps on a'coming,
He's mighty hard to whup."

The same applies to love affairs,
And to the romance game.
When you get thrown, just lick your wounds
And try it all again.

So, baby, don't you worry-
I know you have to go...
This cowboy knows a bit about-
These dog and pony shows.

So play 'em like you see 'em-
Let the chips fall where they may...
Dust your britches, cowboyup-
Is what I always say.

Ride em cowbow.
head em up and move em out.
In the muster of your words lie the colts of wisdom.
take care and God bless

I love this poem!  Why are your poems always so far down.
This is wonderful!

I'm ready to go out west and learn to be a cowboy!
I mean...uh, cowgirl!

Very good!! When you fall off a horse you got to get right back up. Nice to see the old picture back. I love a man who wears a cowboy hat.
