“IN THE FOREST”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
I walked in a forest once,
surrounded by giant trees…
Mighty in their being,
knew no boundaries…
Serenity I felt inside,
peaceful it was then…
Felt like I wanted to stay,
lay me down in the glen…
I waited for you there,
many hours did pass…
You said you’d come to me,
hurry, my heart is of glass…
Bill darling boy I suppose you think that I’m going to praise you to the skies? Hmmm? …….. Well, of course I am, this is utterly utterly wonderful as YOU very well know. How did you do this how many layers of meaning are there? I suspect so many that I could keep revealing more at each new reading. I shall be reading this a lot, into my library with you.
This is really fabulous writing sometimes when you don’t expect it you see true beauty this is it. Beauty has a name and it's creater is Bill
Absolutely first class writing
lay me down in the glen..have always wanted to find a place like that..on a mountain top or river valley..spread a  blanket and spend time with someone special...some day I will Bill..and you, too will have that peaceful loving moment also.
A beautiful poem
as always,they touch me.
Sir Charles,
The voice of song is heard
every time thy words
are viewed by mine eyes.
I left upon these pages, blue
a note, my spirit's gift to you...
Wonderfully penned, Bill, this is a delicate call to her...and I love the last stanza! This is softly powerful
Take care,
