gently...
she moves her hands
across her keyboard
          her link to him--
     involuntary action of her need
to feel him on her skin
hoping
     groping
     quietly
          for something
               she may touch...
closing her eyes
she can see him
feel him
her fingertips longing--
     but never reaching him...

softly...
he touches the screen
fingertips wanting
     aching
          aching to caress
his whole being
      trying to reach
          desperate
               desperate for just this...
he whispers it to her
     typing it
          willing it
wishing she could know
     wishing she could feel
          wishing she could ache...

oh...but she does
                    ache
                          for him...

...surely
we two have touched--
our hearts ensnared in the blue
          entangled in the space
               caught up in each other
trapped
     in desire
     want
          yearning
               perpetual needful ache...

our souls...
     have touched
                    love

YAY!!! STANDING OVATION!!! Ooohhhhh...you two did such a wonderful job, sweet friends, this is such a beautiful poem of finding love from far away and of destiny of reaching one another through the space between modems! (big hugggssssss) I know just how you feel, for I am in love with the most beautiful girl I could ever dream of, and she lives far away with me, but yet our love is sooooooo wonderful and we dream of meeting one another soon! (smiles) This is a gorgeous duet, sweet friend, I LOVE IT!!! You have such beautiful hearts, sweet friends, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

This is a very in depth look at trying to free our expression
of love and passion through something that invariably.....is sometimes
a trap.  I really got a LOT out of this one.

Dee darling girl and Parker darling boy I suppose you think that I’m going to praise you to the skies? Hmmm? …….. Well, of course I am, this is utterly utterly wonderful as YOU BOTH very well know.

This is really fabulous writing sometimes when you don’t expect it showers of moonbeams descend on you. They dropped like little twinkles of delight when I read this. Oh my eyes they are refreshed and my soul is washed in joy this is sooooooooo beautiful.

Absolutely first class writing

I could feel the yearning and the wanting, truly outstanding writing

And I always mean what I say, if you don't believe me Parker ask Dee she'll tell you

This is wonderful you two.  An excellent display of two talented poets putting their heads together.  You are both to be applauded!!!      Gail, congradulations...James doesn't do a duet with just anyone you know.

Well this is a moth anthem and Im loving it
very very nice write you two...love the burning intensity of this...you have captured well the ache that distance creates...sometimes I dont know whether we should cut the cords off these damn things or crawl on our lips thru them LOL
but hey...thats what chapstick and singe proof mascara is for
Heres hoping that the distances close and you can quench that ache...
I do so enjoy when poets minds entwine and they write a happy ending.
please do -- duet us some more

I'm like a broken record that you can play ...

“Souls touching love”, yes, what a wonderful feeling. This is truly one of the best duets I have seen on these pages. It touched me with its ache and longing. I sure hope you’ll duet some more

Tracey told me about this post.  Aside from any personal interest, this is one of the finest writes I've read here at PIP.  I sincerely compliment you both.  All the more impressive, given that it was a collaboration.  Damn, I wish I could think of a response even close to equaling the poem.
