Nothing Sweeter Then A Lullaby

She has a different view of the world when the sun goes down
Rarely, can she close her eyes to the silence nature provides
For most, they can dream in a way that real life can't give
But, in a woven blanket of fear, is where this girl lies...

Every thread has a story about her time spent in utter darkness
And, each stitch details the outline of sadness held inside
One can only image how heavy that blanket must be
When she can't find strength, just enough, to dry her eyes...

When angels were clearly something she felt didn't belong to her
And, miracles took place just for the fortunate few
She watched doubt drip from the heart of a non believer
When she found more than a heavenly soul to attach herself to...

He is the only star she cares enough to wish upon
And, by far, the only star that stands brilliant against that sky
Her fear woven nights are more calm by just the beat of his heart
God, there's nothing sweeter then a lullaby...

She is driven with absolute love beyond anything she's ever felt
And, the fear of the fear no longer swims through her veins
It's only with him that she's able to confront fantasy at all
There's nothing sweeter then a lullaby when innocence sings...

All done in a pitch that even the moon closes her eyes
It's that stillness that seems to linger if you just hold your breath
She remains there lifeless, in a sense, in the awe of the night
While his sweet lullaby assures her it's OK to rest...

She's never known a melody quite like his heart can play
The only sound she cares to hear at the end of the day
For, peace and patience both exist beneath that darkened sky
And, there's just nothing sweeter then his lullaby...

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, this poem has me flooding in tears, it's sooooooo sad but beautiful! (kiss on cheek) May miracles happen for her and may the angels sing to her heart and in the silence may she find comfort and joy in His lullaby, to forever croon to her and promise her eternal love and serenity! We all love you so much, sweet friend, your words always sing like a lullaby from your lips to touch all our hearts with love! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Saunni, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I have missed the wonder of your poetry, Lady. This deserves a frame and complete wall all to itself.

This is wonderful, as sweet as the lullabye that you speak of.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
