By the glare of the day and the darkness of night
we continue to live our daily plight
as day after day, our lives turn and twist
with time in the background, clouds against mist
as mankind endures it's timeless pain
our wallpaper sky, turns clouds into rain

time stands still as mankind evolves
on life's carousel, our fate revolves
mere actors are we, on life's infinite stage
in the book of forever, but one tiny page
but the clock keeps on ticking and time has no end
a concept too vast to comprehend

time is an infinite mobius strip
no end, no beginning, our lives just one blip
on this endless screen, our lives unfold
with time as our backdrop, history unrolls
when human existence meets the end of time
it loops back around and begins to re-wind

Lyra - So true.  I truly enjoyed this pensive poem. So well thought out, and so very good.

I, of course, will take up a million pages before my life comes to an end. And by the way, NY pizza is timeless.

(sigh) Sooooooooo true and well-said, sweet friend, time will always continue to revolve around us, but our love and destinies will go on, and as long as we stand our ground, time will be a companion to us all! (kiss on cheek) I love it, sweet friend, your words are always so compelling and a delight to us all! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Lyra, this is one of those "thinking" pieces of poetry. I'll sit and ponder your wise words. Very nicely thought out. I enjoyed this. The last two lines are my favorite. Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl...I am glad that I was able to help you find your thinking cap again....and I was worried that you might have lost it....

I should have known better than that...you are definitely a thinker!

Thanks Maureen...I sure hope that those clouds on your ceiling don't rain on you...that might make you a bit uncomfortable.
What room in your house has the clouds on the ceiling?   This intrigues me.
