I awake at dawn
With a thin crack of light
Sneaking through the shades
The light hits your still sleeping face
You breathe shallow, look peaceful
I can smell your aroma
That I am so familiar with
Your cold little feet
Stuck between my legs
My hand cupped on the rise of your hip
I can feel you without touching
The sound of your breathing
Sweet music to my ears
The old ratty T-shirt
Clinging to your body
Making me jealous
For coming between us
At last you stir
Opening your beautiful eyes
You reach to kiss me
Then I realize you're not there
And I cry…again

Nothing ever happens unless first a Dream - Rod

Oh Rod!  You just about ripped my heart out of my chest with this one!  Talk about heart-wrenching!!  Fantastic ending...but sad.

I smiled as I read your beginning lines but your last few words created a dramatic effect.

Memories stir a lot of emotions your showed that with your words.

Excellent!
