She wore fuchsia
like a summer rose
a blossom of loveliness

mahogany hair
laced with mountain rain
and velvet skin
kissed by a flaxen moon

she wore fuchsia
scent of a honeysuckle rose
a blossom of tenderness

soft caramel kisses
smeared upon a satin pillow
in the warmth
of an imaginary night

she wore fuchsia to hide
the thorns in her heart
but still tasted fuchsia
within the lost breeze of his kiss

You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.

(sigh) Soooooooo beautifully bittersweet, sweet friend, may these caramel kisses of her dreams forever touch her heart with hope of true love and may her perfume of fuchsia touch the love of her life's heart and lead him to her to love eternally! (kiss on cheek) This is soooooo gorgeous, sweet friend, you truly are our Queen of Imagery! (smiles) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Victoria, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

*sigh* and the brightness of it can hide the thorns that pierced her heart....Stunning vision in this poem. It says so much in such a brilliant way. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

and again your images amaze and tantalize V.
I have enjoyed watching your poetry grow better with each verse written.  So well done V!

*She wore fuchsia
like a summer rose*

those first two lines reeled me in.  This was a beautiful read.

You made this sound like a beautiful pianting, though she was alone and sad in the end.
