I am but a dreamer
As always I’ve been told
I see things that aren’t
And don’t really care
But give me a hope
And I’ll give every effort
To make it prosper and grow
Even if it never leaves my mind

I have accomplished so much
Without leaving the house
Built empires and castles
Then just tore them down
To insure justice for all

Reality brings me back down to earth
Sometimes I wonder
If I should just give it up
Grow up and become an “adult”
Give up the fun
But that would make me feel old
That’s no reason for this soul to be sold

All that I do know for sure
Is that I want to dream forever
Just to tell them to you

Nothing ever happens unless first a Dream - Rodney

He was a dreamer, a dreamer of dreams,
He always was dreaming, in dreamland it seems,
He solved all the problems, the world has to bear,
How lucky the dreamer, I wish I was there.

Doesn't matter how old we are, if we quit dreaming, then we quit living, we just exist.
Enjoyed your poem.

I very much enjoyed your poem, Rodney.
Please remember that if there were no dreamers, there would be no poems...and what a sad world that would be.

YAY!!! (smiles) Yes, yes, dream on, for it is our dreams that make possibilities endless and our fantasies come true! (big hugggsssss) I love to dream all the time for that is what makes me happy, we all love you so much, always love yourself and follow your dreams, for they will come true! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rodney, thank you for sharing!

I must confess, the title brought me into this one, and it didn’t disappoint. I too, am the ultimate dreamer. And no, we should never give up dreaming...there’s enough stark reality in this world. Leave us with the comfort of our dreams at least. I hope she’s listening to your dreams.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
