Still In Shadow

As I close my eyes to sleep
I let vision take it's form
Into self-made dream I leap
and the world I now transform

On a beach of golden sands
I walk beneath midnight moon
Weaving as desire commands
as waves play sweet lover’s tune

Soft breezes caress my skin
with the warmth of summer night
Now the magic will begin
and my passions will ignite

As a mist of turquoise green
starts to gather on the beach
A man now enters the scene
eyes filled with love his arms reach

In shadow his face is still
for I know him not as yet
This night my need he’ll fulfill
grant wishes I won’t forget

Spent the night in dreamers land
making love until the dawn
Then walk the beach hand in hand
kiss farewell and then we’re gone

Karen Torbiak 2002

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

When I think of a beach I automatically think of
romance.  So of course I adore this piece you've penned

I think you should be called "Beautiful Dreamer"
You seem to have the same hopes and fantasies of the perfect situation as I do. I wish we could quit dreaming and start living them, though.
Love this.

Startime - this is one of the most moving romantic poems I've read in a very long time. I can't say enough about it to you...

Karen - Sounds like a dream where you didn't want that darn alarm clock to go off.  Great rhythm and imagery in this one, and, of course, very romantic.  Nicely done.
