I am a fool, I think.
I must be, I believe.
As I fall in love yet again.

It happens so much
The older I get.
And yet, I am here to attend.

In my youth, I held fast
My love locked tight.
Reluctant to live and let go.

With time I began
To lend out my heart,
And bask in love’s hot embrace.

Warmed by that fire
I dared to risk more.
Then one day I gave my heart away.

True love had come
And joy I had found,
Infused into my very skin.

Now addicted I am
To love’s wild fall,
I descend again and again.

And today I admit
With love I was smit.
When I turned and saw him there.

My spouse in my arms
Our souls entwined.
I fall in love with him anew.

Each day is the same
Can I be to blame?
For falling in love with my husband yet again?

Mac Attack,
Like your poem. A possible is "I am a fool...again". Just a thought. Fun concept that you've expressed. And welcome to Passions. Hope you like it here as much as me.

Wow, this is so cool! An early Valentine's Day special? Maybe printed up poster size, and hung over your bed?

Maybe re-title "Cupid's Fool?"

Kacy may be on to something here...again Mac. You better listen to her. Nobody posts threads as large as hers. She has clout!

LOL!
Thanks for the suggestion and warm comments!  Who am I to ignore the sage advice of one who has CLOUT??  Nice suggestion for title Kacy, thanks.  (And thank you Larry for the recommendation that I use it!  Whew, saved me there my friend!)

I'm glad you liked the post, I am always surprised to find myself falling in love with him over and over again!  How silly is that???

You really are a sweetie, Mac Attack! No need to put my name in the title though. This beautiful poem is totally yours. Your husband must really love it.

LOL!!!

He hasn't read it yet!  Poor boy is sleeping while I sit up at night posting his praises.  I got up out of bed because I got the idea, and could not let it go until I wrote it down.  And once I wrote it down.... well, here we are.

Mac - Very good.  If you are going to be a fool, the best one to be is Cupid's fool.  Hey, if I ever get shot with the arrow again, I will make sure there is no way it can be dislodged from my heart.lol

Glad you liked it Dave!  And it wouldn't be so bad if it was just the one shot, but I seem to keep getting shot with the same arrow! LOL!  What can I say, it appears I am addicted to him, ... again!

This is so cute. How lovely to be able to keep falling in love again and again with the same person. And I’m laughing at all the comments in the thread.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Tracey, I'm glad you enjoyed the post and had a laugh.  (I'm laughing at myself too!) You might want to drop in to read dgvarner's "feathered kiss".  Seems I'm not the only one who feels this way.

This is adorable, Mac...and what better person to keep falling in love with...over and over again, but your very own husband!

P.S....I'll tell you a secret...I feel the same way about my husband too!
