Shadows In The Mist

The oceans are a necropolis
For many shipwrecked souls
Centuries of victims roam
The margins of its shoals

Densest clouds of fog conceal
The vestige of their plight
Spirits riding high wave’s crest
Cloaked in brumous white

Searching for their final rest
A marker for their grave
Something that tells the world
They lie beneath the waves

Through centuries they wander
Undaunted they persist
Doomed to roam the oceans
Mere shadows in the mist

(big hugggsssssss) This is so sad but well-written, sweet friend, my heart goes out to all the shipwrecked passengers and their families all throughout time! (sad sigh) Very sad but wonderful, sweet friend, God bless your loving, compassionate heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Brian, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

brian - a very haunting write, well done.Chris

Brian, you have captured the feeling and imagery in this one very well.
Hauntingly penned.

Very well penned, Brian. The surface of the oceans is so calm and serene it's difficult to imagine what lies beneanth, including the nameless souls in unmarked graves. I like the style.....

Wow, Brian. this is hauntingly beautiful a soulful write. Brumous...a cool word for a wintry fog. Thanks for the visions. May those wandering souls find a crest upon which to rest...in peace.
