Listening to every heart

Searching For the Seeker

One would think it easier
In light of freshly fallen snow
To see where the Seeker has been
To know where it is he may go

Hear the owl’s whoosh of wing
As only a feather-light breeze
Sparkles the hint of the Seeker
All I hear are hushed memories

There I am again, on a path of worn
There I am, in the mists of time
The grasses brush me in their wake
I know, for these memories are solely mine

The Seeker stands before me, walks
Among recollection’s path
Spirits call to him, throughout all time
Cries of carnages aftermath

Then he turns to beckon me on, I
Follow Seeker to meadow’s light
He turns, pulls me to his arms,
Searching again his lover’s rights

He speaks not a word, but I hear
The whispers of his heart to mine
It is my destiny to record them
Evidencing truths of these times

The shadow stirs, the mists recede,
The Seeker fades into the night
I feel the Seeker not so far from me,
I shall find him in my write…

Very esoteric...I love the ethereal feel to this, truly. It has a caressing sensation.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

This entire poem is so magical, but I especially liked these lines. What wonderful imagery!

Where does the Sunshine go?
The Seeker knows...

Your writing is wonderful.

I can almost see the snow, feel the breeze and touch the meadow grasses.  You certainly did a good job of transporting us there.
