I have this bottle
of Dom Perignon

Yes, it’s empty
Just the bottle

Sometimes I open
the emerald green case
and run my fingers
across the thick glass

Why do I keep it?

Memories

Of the night
when I was tempted
beyond my limits

I went to knock
and couldn’t
But he sensed me there
frozen
unable to run
from his house of mirrors

where he perched me
upon pillows
and lit an enigma
upon pillars

and polished me
in cinnamon shadow prances

the scent of ice
and firelight
anointed the resonation
of his voice

dripped dry
in the crush
of fore repose

and I knew
I’d never be as empty
as that bottle again

Oh good grief....thats it...Im selling my muse ... she's of no good to me now. rofl

This is such a very very COOL poem....
the intensity glows off the page...
I love the images you have conjure up in this

"and lit an enigma
upon pillars
and polished me
in cinnamon shadow prances

now how cool is that..how fresh and original
how uniquely Regina...

I dont know which I wish for more...that I wrote this...or had the memory
I do so love the way you write my friend...
keep them coming...I collect them you know

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken ...
for handing you a heart worth breakin'

*sigh*
Of the night
when I was tempted
beyond my limits

This poem speaks from the very core of your soul...it is said tenderly in vivid memory...What a treasured memory it is as you gaze again at the bottle seeing yourself now never to be empty again. Magnificent. I love it. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Regina,
I have neither the talent nor the memory. But you have provided the images for my imagination and I am content to revel in that. Wow!

Janet: Thanks to you and others I am still here..pounding away at the keys to my soul. You lend my muse wings dear lady. I will
write in inspiration of your verse and
poetic replies .~(hugs)

Karen: Hey Star shine! So glad you enjoyed..yes..sometimes the temptation is far beyond what we can comprehend..and makes for etchings of our future. Hugs*

Larry: Now I know you've burnt the midnight flame somewhere down the line. If not..Things to do! My poet friend. Thank you

Sy: Never..just my magic lamp.

Victoria: Thank you so much! I know..we have to keep him though..he's just too cute.

Sincerely,
Regina

Ya know girl, I read your words and I just think to myself....if I could just write like that......if I could just learn how.  Then I realize that no one can write just quite like you do, and we are so truly blessed that you share your gift of words with us.  Dear somy~ thank you......

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

You dear girl like a bottle Dom are getting better and better with age as it were.  Your images are becoming so vivid and intense, and so darn "YOU", and don't ya just love JM and her responses?  I think we should just email her with ours, let her write one big one on each poem as a collective comment from the group, as she missed her called, and I dub her the "Comment Commissioner" of Passions
Great choice of words in this, and really, really a "you" poem for sure!  Loved it!

Wow, what memories, what sensual memories.  You have such wonderfully descriptive writing. Yes, memories like this can fill a girl for all time can’t they?  (though, Dom Perignon, is a sore subject with me right now. I got two bottles for wedding presents, and the ex and I said we’d have one each. Well, I just went back to the house to find he’s drunk BOTH!!! And he wonders why he’s my ex!!hmmmph!!)

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Tracey: Oh my!...Not a nice thing to steal a girl's Dom. I'm sorry. Goodness..that deserves a whipping! I hope it gets replaced by another from a really gorgeously sweet guy. Thanks for stopping in Gal! Hugs!

Regina
