I couldn’t really help myself, as I returned to memory’s lane.
It always seemed a comfort, though I sought for you in vain.
For there I seemed to find, how pleasant life could be.
Sharing time together, remembering you with me.

~*~
As a whisper in the willow, I can still hear your name
The feelings that I cling to, linger within unchanged.
Even as I try to deny the scent of our reverie
I breathe in and you are there, billowing vividly

~*~
Why would it be so? It should not be
That time has passed, and still I feel the same.
But then I recall the moments that we shared,
Intoxicated by the things that we had dared.

~*~
Then I realized, there were many desires, many firsts
That unfolded between us as perfect verse
Flowing, rhyming, timing, designing
The depth of a masterpiece, descrying
We stepped away for a moment to adore
somehow, it didn’t need anything more

~Thanks for drawing me back into the poetry world with this one.~

Well how could one not love this melding of rhymes divine ... this is lovley you two...
I love the theme and emotion running thru this and the play on inspiration and poetry in the last verse...
wonderful dueting of muses ...encore encore...
and I too thank Larry for "bringing you back to poetry"

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken ...
for handing you a heart worth breakin'

Regina,
Coaching Regina hahahaha. Like one could direct such a free spirit, or would need to. I deny it! Besides to coach someone requires skills which I certainly don't have.

The pleasure is in the association with such a lovely person of such free and natural talent. A muse I suppose...that's it! Thanks always Regina.

And thank you to each of you for the kind words about our poem.

You have written these memories with great vivid clarity. A beautiful harmonic blending in your duet. And it is great to see you back Regina. Though, I know what you mean about the winter self, I get that way too.
