Play Sringrain song

~* Her Heart Is Like A Tender Rose *~

Her heart I liken to a tender rose
protected in a casing of sorrow.
She waits to have its petals unfolded
not knowing where truth and safety hides.
Perhaps it listens to the sweet songs of birds,
Tastes the drizzle of the rain and mist,
hoping for some one to trust and hold it?
She knows life’s seasons all too well,
and retracts at the rays of the sun
for it has scorched her petals too often.
She waits holding her heart
next to her bosom in safety.
It will burst forth in jubilant hues
as she waits for this season to change.
Feel safe, know fully your season,
then bloom, open your petals
exhibit your raiment, my lady.
Bask in the rays of the sun,
accept your tears with the rain,
and know this that the life of the bloom
is your heart, protect it well.
It is precious, invaluable and dear.
The source of its beauty was always you.
In this new season, rejuvenate, rejoice
And with new found trust, blossom.
This fragile heart, with petals fresh
can open knowing it is surrounded in love.

~* For You My Friend - A Rose Of Hope and Peace *~

You've touched me on this one...and without the music.  Now, tomorrow morning, I shall read it again with the music, just to see how one enhances the others...

Oh, it was a good day for Passions when you came along...

~* Dear Poet Friends *~

Just when I was thinking I could not write anything worthwhile to post here, I see your "smiling faces" here on this thread and it indeed fills me with the warmth that seems to glow within the walls that Ron created, called Passions.  Thank you so much for your comments, as this is to a friend I care deeply about and empathize with all the pain she is being put through so unnecessarily.  There is hope for her, and where there is hope, there is always light, and ultimately love!  This my way of showing her I am but one that holds her in my keeping.  Thank you all again.

As the wonder of a rose unfurls, so does this poetic work of art. One passionate read filled with much heart...

I stand and applaud with much admiration! You most certainly have not lost your touch... Love and peace ((~.~))

I agree with Nan, This is much better than a sonnet, uncontrived, honest, and straight from the heart, It is full of lve and friendship, and I would have known the authur if you hadn't signed it, because it is who you are,
THank you for sharing this exquisite peice
I enjoyed the music with it' You do have a way of creating atmosphere
I can imagine dinner at your house
A Martha Stewart evening od sights and sounds
Keep up the good work
Love you

Janet Marie ~ Thank you - to warm her heart was my intention.

Maggie - Thank your for your comment, I really needed to hear that these days.

Elizabeth - You and I shall share dinner soon, and that is all my mind has been on for days, and will be until we do hold hands as friends "in the flesh" as it were!  I simply can't wait (but you already know that!)  Thank you dear lady.

HEG - So nice to meet you, and thank you so much for reading this poem.
