“SHADOWS WITHIN”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Lying in this bed, as I do,
alone, cold, in the dark…
Reaching out, tossing, turning,
night time leaves its mark…
Eyes closed, perhaps a dream,
nothing there to hold, gone…
We embraced, you were here,
this time into the dawn…
Darkness, as I search inside,
nothing I find, to be found…
Troubled thoughts I can see,
passions, that only confound…
Mists I see moving now,
from nowhere, they begin…
Color of transparent black,
imagine, the shadows within…
(big hugggssssssss) So very sad but beautiful, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you and I pray now these troubled thoughts have vanished and now loves happiness is in your heart! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, may all these shadows become masterpieces of colorful art of beauty! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Darkness within
arms reaching out
Wanting much more
having such doubt
Cold and alone
seeking to know
Wanting the warmth
love to bestow
Lost in a dream
timeless is here
Wake to the day
lost in a tear
*sigh* I just couldn't help it..this poem brought words flowing from me. My heart understands this poem very well....nightly in fact. **big hugs**
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
Bill darling boy I really love this poem it is UTTERLY utterly dreamy rather a sad and lonely little write but layers of meaning again. YOUR writing lately is superb darling boy just superb
I love the depth of this the shades of it’s meanings, truly wonderful writing and (((((((Hug’s))))))))) to stave off the cold and lonely feelings
Love and warm stuff
BC...sad and lonely words....Look out your
window...breath the fresh air...admire the
beauty that surrounds you...It won't always
be this way...I know...I have been there...
Not that many years ago...
Bill - does this mean she is staying longer? Maybe next time to stay. Well done. Chris
Excellent writing, Bill...and I think this would be even better if you combined it with Karen's reply...as a duet...
Yes, the night does bring shadows like this doesn’t it?
