This is a poem written by Vanessa (Violetness to all the former Moontown people). She is going through tough times right now with her 6 year old. Her daughter has ADHD and is really struggling.

All replies will be passed on to Vanessa and she'll provide me with anything she'd like to reply back.
----------------------------------------------------

Glass Mender

Granted unto unworthy keep,
A tiny sculpture, made of glass,
Unparalleled beauty in prizm’d hope,
From God’s Hand to mine did pass.

“Love it, and it shall grow.”
The only advice upon its care,
Showered in love and want it is,
But its fragility flourished unaware.

Hear the tiny fragments shower down!
A soft noise they make unto mine ear,
Soft, though surely kills this soul,
And births within the darkest fear.

Lord, I am not a glass mender!
Do none but me see fragments lie?
I beg Thee, put her back together,
For as fissures grow, so does she die!

Take unto Thy Care this tiny sculpture,
Mend these shards and make her well!
Mine hands are tattered, bleeding life-blood,
Hath mine taint upon the pristine fell?

These hands, they matter not, Oh Lord,
‘Tis the shard I hold upon this palm,
Salvaged, cherished, returned to Thee,
For Thine Hand to spread Thy healing balm!

Though broken, still her beauty shines,
Her worth is far beyond this soul,
If prayers unanswered, then through this flesh
Shall I pin these shards to make her whole.

Vanessa

Please tell her that so many children with this problem are so very gifted...I know it is emotionally hard on both parents and child but there is so much talent in this beautiful children. They are usually very gifted in music and computer skills and learn exceptionally well using computers as teaching aids. Their minds quite often work so fast they become frustrated and that is why music and computers help a great deal. I pray that she finds all the areas and support groups that can help them both to handle this new test in their lives. Much love to both of them...**big big hugs** thank you so much for posting her poem it is so heartfelt I just had to respond as I did. **big big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

(big hugggsssssss) All of our prayers go out to Vanessa, sweet friend, I too have an emotional dysfunction known as Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism which makes me super-sensitive, so I can well relate to these feelings, but I am also blessed that I am not mute and can communicate through the wordsI love to write and share with you and all my other friends here at Passions. (big hugggssssss) My prayers are with her, but I am also amazed by the talents they all possess with their gifts, in art, writing, science, and so much more. (sigh) May her loving voice be heard and may we give all these special people the special treatment and education and love they deserve always! This is sooooooooo powerfully captivating, sweet friend, God Bless You, you are a true angel to us all and to Vanessa! We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Vanessa, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

To Ness through Roger, My prayers are with you and your daughter. God shall mend her shards of glass and bind your hands so they shall not bleed. Never give up hope and remember prayers work miracles. I shall add her to my prayer list. Warmest wishes and may God bless you both. Love, Cheryl

Vanessa - Prayers go out to you and your little one. Your poem touched my heart. Chris

Cheryl,
Thanks for the bump. I sent the first 6 replies off to her. She's a busy young lady.

Vanessa, it is indeed a difficult journey, to walk with someone on a path seemingly made of shattered glass.  But each fragment reflects a piece of a precious soul, and perhaps, is capable of reflecting more light than the whole. Just be sure to take deep breaths, and find some peaceful meditation time or exercise time to renew yourself. Healing chants are in the winds, listen and you will hear them above the commotion.

While Vanessa's poem is quite lovely, our guidelines preclude us from posting another person's poem.  Please have her provide her e-mail address to those who wish to stay in contact with her while she cannot post at Passions, and I am sure all members will send greetings.  Also tell her thanks for me for her understanding why this post had to be closed.  Thank you.
