Despite

Felt the touch of "last farewell",
endless beauty, a starry night.
Silence screamed in disconnect,
as words pressed lips, that held them tight.

Because of thee, this Lady's eyes
have opened, spite the dampened flow
of memories left, by cooing dove
versed, come moonlight's loving glow.

Contemplates thy figure, tall,
of touch from hands, thine, tender strong.
Then smile returns, bewitched her heart,
in castle waits, no matter, long.

This Lady, She, shall welcome knight,
In darkness reigns, despite one's plight.

Lady Ollyne

How tender and lovely. The sonnet form always rolls off the lips so sweetly.

Very interesting poem and format.  Some qualities of a sonnet but not a sonnet in the purest sense.  You certainly have painted a stiring picture and the picture compliments the form and language you've selected.

Nice Poem!

I see someone has been working on form
and beauty and it shows. I am impressed
with this one, very much so....I am too tired
to write anything, but this is sure wonderful
to read..thank you

This is another beautiful piece I read for you. I am trying to learn how to write sonnets so I know how difficult they can be.

Sir Tim,
So happy that words of mine
pleasure your eyes.
Lady O

Lady K,
Sonnet done in style of mine,
may not Sonnet be to all,
but words from lips to fingers pen,
and in their own way, seem to fall.
Thank You,
Lady Ollyne

Sir Noah,
Majestic, always are
responses by thee.
Smiling,
Lady O

Lady ~Victoria,
Bittersweet words
some day to only become sweet.
Thanking Thee,
Lady O

Sir I,
Always the sadness
that fills the heart
and spills onto these pages.
Thank you,
Lady Ollyne

Lady Rebekah,
Smiling thanks,
Ollyne

Sir Bart,
This Lady, She pens in her style..
some may think it not of form.
She writes this format for awhile,
the lines and counts become her norm.
If stirring thoughts do picture paint
enjoying eyes, responding so,
then be it sonnet pure or taint,
languaged for each read to flow.
Thank you *s
Lady O

Lady Karen,
Tears, don't shed,
for this one here.
She'll lose the sad
this coming year.
Sweet thanks,
Ollyne
